Meet Our Woman of the Week | Haley Evans

Haley Evans

"Chi O means community. It has brought friendships that challenge me in my faith, encourage me, and love me for who I am. These are friendships that will not only last four years but that will last a lifetime. This community found in Chi O is like no other: the girls don't look down on others' differences- they celebrate them, they don't compete with one another- they encourage others along the way, and these girls don't segregate themselves from one another- but are always inclusive. What is found in Chi O is rare and I am so blessed that the Lord placed this precious community in my life. "

About Haley (submitted by Lindsey McMahon):
"Haley is one of the kindest people you'll ever meet. When you hear "she's  beauty and she's grace" you think Haley Evans. It makes me proud to watch her slay it on the field/court as captain of the tiger paws and now I get to see her every week because she's one of our Greek sing chairs! I'm a little biased because she's my big but she has been invested in my life since day 1 and I could not be more grateful for such a wonderful role model and friend. Haley is my woman of the week every week because the list of wonderful things about her could never end!"

1. What at auburn has had the biggest influence on you or made the biggest impact on you while you've been here and why?
I have loved getting involved in organizations on campus and the people that I have met! I believe that the relationships I have made through Tiger Paws Dance Team, honor societies, RUF and Chi O have definitely shaped my time at Auburn. If I hadn't taken a leap of faith and joined these organizations then I would be missing out on many precious friendships that I have to this day. I am a firm believer that you might not remember each accomplishment or hardship along the way but you will remember the people that walked through those times with you!

2. What is your favorite season of the year and why?
My favorite season of the year is definitely fall. I love how all the leaves start changing colors and how the weather becomes crisp and cool. Also, fall means football season and who doesn't love some good Auburn football?!

3. What has been the sweetest thing about senior year and why?
The sweetest part of senior year so far has been getting to soak up every "last" with my friends. Whether it was cherishing my last Auburn football game as a student or last road trip to the beach with my best friends, it has been a time of thankfulness. I have gotten a chance to look back on all the sweet memories that the past four years have held and it has made me appreciate them all the more.

4. What is your favorite thing about your family and why?
My family is my rock. My favorite thing about my family is I can call them at any time of the day and they will 100% be there for me. I have especially loved having my little sister in Auburn with me! She knows exactly how to brighten my day, whether it's bringing me candy while studying or just being there to listen- she's the best. I thank the Lord daily because I wouldn't be where I am without my family, no doubt.
