"Chi O means more to me than I could have ever dreamed. I am confident saying that I would not be half the woman I am today without members of Chi Omega. From the friends in my senior pledge class, to the freshmen new members, these women respect me and love me better than I ever thought I deserved. They have my whole heart and are my favorite part of Auburn."

About Allie (submitted by Kat):
Last night, I was going through my "letter box," which is a box where I keep all of my meaningful letters and notes people have written me so that I can look back on them for encouragement. Allie Cowling had countless notes to me both during the good times and during rough times; she is a loyal under any and all circumstances. Allie is the type of friend who drops everything to celebrate your life and what you mean to her. I call Allie one of my best friends because she chooses each day to build up those around her and make sure they know that they are valued and supported. She is a woman of character and has a tender heart that never stops giving. Even when I don't ask for help, she shows up on my doorstep ready to help me take on the world. She works hard, she speaks kindly and she is one of the most sincere friends I know. I am so very thankful for friends like her who love and treasure each moment with you.
What lessons have you learned while acting as the President of Chi Omega?
I have learned so much about myself through this beautiful journey of being President. I have been overwhelmed with the amount of encouragement I receive daily. To love and get to love each and every 283 active members of Chi Omega is both an honor and a privilege. I am forever humbled to be in this leadership position. It is my daily goal to encourage, educate and equip our members to be the best women they can be far beyond their college years.
What is your favorite book?
Wow, this is a hard one! A book that I still go back to for incredible life quotes is "Love Does" by Bob Goff. The purpose behind the book is to show readers how to discover an incredible life in an ordinary world. When "Love Does," life gets interesting. The book consists of a series of stories, or chapters, that form a narrative of life. And this is one life you don't want to miss. Light and fun, unique and profound, the lessons drawn from Bob's life and attitude just might inspire me to be secretly incredible, too.
Can you tell us about your experience traveling around China this past spring break?
I had the privilege to go to East Asia over spring break. There are not enough words to describe my desire and hope I have for the country. I learned so much about myself, my passion and my desires in life. Having the opportunity to travel the world during my college years has truly been a blessing. Visiting East Asia has inspired me to seek jobs regarding international adoption upon graduating in May. Even though the jet lag is hard to bounce back from, I would go back in a heartbeat!
What is your favorite holiday and why?
I LOVE the holidays. Sadly, I have a separate Pinterest board dedicated to this! I love them all, but Thanksgiving is my favorite. Spending this holiday, surrounded by friends and family, reflecting on all of our many blessings is such a sweet time. Ever since I was little, I have enjoyed helping my mom in the kitchen, making and baking all of the Thanksgiving meal necessities. We always sing along to music and watch movies while we prepare lunch for the people who mean the most to us. Fall is my favorite season so it is only right to choose Thanksgiving.
