About Emma (submitted by Caroline Stewart):
I met Berger freshman year on Bid Day when she asked to take a picture with me, even though we didn't know each other at the time. Now we are roommates and it's been the best thing in the entire world. Anyone who knows Berger knows this: she is the most hopeful, optimistic, and LOVING human. With every conversation you have with Emma, she leaves you feeling like you are a million bucks, and I'm talking about absolutely ANYONE who meets her. She's a unique individual who loves every single person she comes into contact with. She always find the best in others and posses the unique ability to bring those qualities out of them. She's rarely thinking about herself, and is always pushing the people around her to the Lord. Not to mention, she's a blast 'n a half and a party 99.99% of the time! Love ya pal!

Do you have a favorite childhood memory?
We used to have a creek behind my house where we could go play. One day we found a big dirt hill by the creek and we spent the entire afternoon sliding down it. We went back regularly after that and we used to always say, "Mom, we're going to the dirt hill."

If you could only bring three things to a deserted island, what would they be?
An inner tube so I could have something to play with, a Bible because who doesn't love the Bible and it's really long so it would keep me entertained, and a journal so I could write about the experience

You've been both a camper and a counselor at Illahee for a 13years now...how has Illahee impacted you as a person?
I can honestly say that along with other things, camp has made me into the person I am today. When I was younger, camp was just about having fun and trying new things, but as I got older, it became more about the friendships that you can only make at camp--friendships where you know everything about that person and love them anyways. Now, as a counselor, I want to give my campers the same experiences my counselors gave me by pointing them toward Jesus and trying to touch their lives in whatever capacity I can. But honestly, my favorite part of camp is that I get to be a kid all day long. I literally get paid to play all day. You can't beat that.

What are your hobbies?
My hobbies include trying to speak Spanish, playing any type of game, taking True40 classes, running, and coffee dates.
