Nationally, Chi Omega supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation, a philanthropy that all Chi Omega chapters share.

Make-A-Wish believes that wishes make life better for kids with life-threatening illnesses. This simple but powerful belief inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish and drives everything they do. We have absolutely loved getting to work with this incredible foundation to be able to offer these kids the chance to make lasting memories with their families and forget about their illnesses even for just a moment. We fundraise because no matter the circumstances, every child deserves a childhood. When a wish is granted, a child replaces fear with confidence, sadness with joy, and anxiety with hope.

Last semester, our Alpha Beta chapter was able to successfully fundraise to grant wishes for the Make-A-Wish Alabama through our even Crawfish with Chi O. Over the course of the past year, we were able to raise approximately $17,404. We are in the process of planning more events that we can’t wait to share with you. Due to COVID-19, more than ever, Make-A-Wish needs our help. Life-changing wishes wouldn't happen without the power of donors like you. Your support gives children much-needed hope for brighter days ahead. We would love for you to join us as we raise support, hope, and excitement for these kids.

CHI OMEGA AND THE MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION

The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 and grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience through hope, strength, and joy. Nationally, Chi Omega has donated over $13 million and granted more than 760 wishes since our partnership was established in 2002. So far, our chapter has donated $492,211 to the Make a Wish Foundation. Auburn Chi Omega has been the largest donor in the state of Alabama for a many years now, in addition to being one of the top Chi Omega chapters in the nation concerning philanthropy donation and participation. We are humbled by the impact that Make-A-Wish has on so many families and feel blessed to serve and be a part of this wonderful organization!
